Our first partner in this project was John DelSignore, with the Mineral County Health Department. After discussions about the potential positive impact to the health of County residents, as far back as December, 2024, John offered to host the first meetings of our Feral Feline Solutions Initiative, beginning in May, 2025.  When, after a 9

Our first partner in this project was John DelSignore, with the Mineral County Health Department. After discussions about the potential positive impact to the health of County residents, as far back as December, 2024, John offered to host the first meetings of our Feral Feline Solutions Initiative, beginning in May, 2025.  When, after a 90-day study, the group recognized the need to become a permanent entity, John, with Department Director AJ Root, offered to host the work of the Solutions Team for another year. We have learned so much from John and AJ. We are sincerely grateful for the Department space and technology to advance this work.

John introduced us to Missy Kidwell, Mineral County Animal Control Officer, and we discovered her deep love of animals and sincere concern for their well-being across the county. Her counsel guides us day by day in nearly everything we do.

John introduced us to Missy Kidwell, Mineral County Animal Control Officer, and we discovered her deep love of animals and sincere concern for their well-being across the county. Her counsel guides us day by day in nearly everything we do.

In a meeting with newly installed Sheriff Joel Whisner, it became apparent that his concern for the well-being of animals, and especially his interest in their protection, would also be instrumental in partnering with us in this project.
